Black male, 5-6 years old.

Fernando was one of 3 boys straying in Fobbing, who got into the trap set by Pippa's Army to catch a mum and kittens! The boys were in such a state, Pippa's asked PCL to take them. None were neutered so Andrea took them as an emergency to go in a dog crate in her garage. The other boys, Flint and Floyd were homed a few weeks ago but Fernando needed extra care.
Poor Fernando had Entropion in both eyes, meaning his eyelids curled in from birth and his lashes were constantly scraping the surface of his eyes. He would have been in constant pain and his eyes were milky from inflammation, as well as being gummed up and weepy. Andrea kept him at home to administer eye drops 4 times a day to get the inflammation down so he could have surgery. He wasn't happy about having drops but was a lovely boy.
Fernando had his surgery and came into the rescue once he was recovered. He looked like a different cat! Despite not being in pain any more, Fernando was stressed being at the rescue and it has taken him a while to settle in. He is very affectionate and really wants to be loved, but can swipe when he's had enough. Like Brody, he will be much happier once out of rescue and in his own space with someone understanding. It is very unsettling for a lot of cats to have to be around other cats in a confined area.
