White and black male, 8-10 years old.

Charlie has had a very tough life for at least the past few years. He once had a home, however his owners moved just one mile away but chose to leave him behind. Apparently to them he was ‘just a cat’. To us, he is so much more, and is thriving in foster care with Rachel.

Charlie craves company, cuddles, and food! He loves curling up next to Rachel, demanding head strokes and purring like a train. She has even managed a sneaky little belly rub, although Charlie wasn't so sure about this! He would be at his most content curled up with his forever mum or dad all night on the sofa, once they have gained his trust.

Sneaky tummy tickle attempt!
Now progressed to lap love!

Now Charlie feels safe, has decompressed from his many years on the streets, has recovered from his dentals, and his injuries have healed, his wonderful character is starting to show. Charlie can be very chatty, especially when he wants more food, and has also started to play. Mostly charging around like a lunatic chasing toys on his own, but recently starting to play with a dangler toy too (which he used to be terrified of!)

Chatty Charlie!

Charlie has surprisingly tested negative for FIV and FeLV, however he is positive for Calicivirus which explains why it has taken so long to get the inflammation in his mouth under control. He has been so very brave, and come so far, he deserves his very own forever home where he can continue to thrive with love, patience, and final security.

Whoever adopts Charlie will need a 'safe room' as he may regress a little initially whilst adapting to his change in surroundings. Somewhere where Charlie can feel secure, settle into his new environment, and learn to trust his new human(s).

They may also need to monitor his mouth, to catch any potential flare ups in the future. This is easily done by taking videos of him meowing for food! Charlie may also need medication, which goes into his food. PCL will be willing to support any ongoing costs associated with this if required.

All of this is nothing compared to the love Charlie will give in return, and the joy you will feel once you become the person he trusts!
