Spitza

We recently re-homed Spitza, a black and white cat of twelve years old. We already had a seven year old cat Tilly-cat, but the two started to get used to each other very quickly. At first Spitza spent two days sleeping on the sofa and only got off to eat once in the evening. We were a bit worried and then remembered that she liked chicken, so we introduced chicken to her meals and now she eats twice a day, although still only small meals. Spitza has now taken to sleeping on our bed and walks around as if she owns the house! Tilly-cat and Spitza get on well and have even been seen eating out of the same bowl.

We are now introducing Spitza to the garden under supervision. At the moment she just sits down looking around and watches the other cat. We have a high wall all around the garden so it is quiet safe for pussycats.

We would like to say thankyou to everyone at PussyCat Lodge for allowing us to rehome Spitza, especailly after being at her foster home for so long. We had a warm welcome when we collected Spitza and it was clear that all the animals are very well loved. Our only regret is that we can not adopt more cats!!

Best wishes, The Beckinsale Family, February 2006
