Pucino, his first afternoon with us. You can see how settled in he quickly became, little poser!
Hi there, I thought you might like an update about the two cats we re-homed (mid-Feb 2006). The cats in question are Robbie (aka Beard) and Pucino (aka Black Mog, Whistler, Chief ... we haven't settled on a permanent name for this chap yet).
We brought the cats home and introduced them into their new home (a three floor town house so lots of space to explore). Robbie retreated pretty pronto under the sofa in the downstairs room where he stayed for most of the afternoon and evening. Pucino, on the other hand, is a bit of a people-mog and quickly realised that we would happily keep him company. He spent the afternoon in the office with us, either lying on the floor or sitting on a lap. We were quite impressed by how quickly he had settled in. He really enjoyed exploring his new territory with us also.
At dinner time Robbie was still hiding under the sofa, but Pucino was quite hungry (he ALWAYS is) so made a quite a racket in asking for his dinner. Then it was back upstairs to sit on someone.
Robbie was finally enticed out from beneath the sofa but he was very wary of his new surroundings. We had of course prepared ourselves by purchasing a fish on a string and this quickly got Robbie out of his shell.

Robbie (Beard) has discovered the delights of mouse-chasing (as in on a computer).
Here he is relaxing post-chase. This was taken the day after they came home.
The two cats are now fully settled in. Robbie is a bit of a maniac, always rushing about and attacking someone. He's very playful, he loves his fish on a string and feathers on sticks. He's also not averse to spending time sitting on a lap being fussed about, although if he takes a dislike to something he'll give you a little nibble to tell you off.
Pucino is still a bit of a lapcat. He spends his time either sleeping, sitting on a lap or wandering about the house mewing. Over the past couple of days he's become a bit more playful (if you include attacking my feet in the middle of the night "playful"). Our only mishap so far has been Pucino mistaking a box of jigsaw puzzle pieces for a litter tray. One soggy jigsaw for us - the pieces have been rinsed and are now drying in the kitchen. Bless him. I can quite understand his mistake!
They are adorable boys, and we are so happy that they are happy living with us. They are so different personality-wise but complement each other and suit us well.
Thank you to Pussycat Lodge for helping us find a pair of wonderful mogs.
