This was our News in 2005.

6th Birthday Party - 10/12/2005

Our 6th Birthday Party was a roaring success and we raised a magnificent £784.03! Our many thanks go to all those involved in the day, whether you could be there or not, and of-course to our members who continually support us by attending such days and purchasing our items. PussyCat Lodge could not carry on without your support!

Christmas Closure

PCLT Rehoming closed over Christmas period!

Poor Piglet

Sadly Piglet died on 17th November 2005. She never recovered from the death of Cuckoo. The following is a message from Jennie:

Sad day for me: I lost the 2 & 1/2 month fight to make heartbroken, bewilderd, Piggy feel safe and well and of course loved. She just could not get over the death of her beloved Cuckoo. It's been so heartbreaking. I have done my very best for her, but she just had no will to live without her "other half". I can't begin to tell you how sad I am. She was George's baby, of course, but loved by all who met her, especially dear Cuckoo. Her kidneys failed, her lungs were not well either. Blood tests showed there was no coming back. I cuddled her as she "went to sleep" purring and, I'm sure, dreaming of her darling. Their ashes I shall lovingly place on the grave of dear George.

"Together forever now."

Cuckoo & Piglet's story

Ouch!

27/10/2005 - The webmaster has managed to slip a disk in her back and has therefore been unable to update this website. Now on the mend, she hopes to get the site up to date in the very near future. Please bear with us during this period.

Sponsored Abseil 2005

New Treasurer Appointed

Frances Reeves, who has been a member and supporter of PussyCat Lodge since it started, has agreed to take on the responsibilities of Treasurer. The job could not be in better hands! Welcome aboard Frances!

Open Day - 4 September 2005

On another blisteringly hot day, the PCLT faithful gathered at the Lodge for the Open Day. Although numbers were down on the May event, we all had a lot of fun and raised a very healthy £974.47!!

Whinge's Warehouse Opens!

02/09/2005 - At last our online shop has opened for business dealing with merchandise made exclusively for us! Check out Whinge's Warehouse and spend, spend, spend!!

Cuckoo has died

Cuckoo died peacefully yesterday of a brain tumour. Read more about him here.

His great friend Piglet is taking the loss very badly and has been sedated. At least now she has stopped crying and crying and is sleeping in the spot where they both always used to sleep by her neighbour, Les' house. Les is keeping an eye on her. We just hope she can get over it as they were never more than a few yards away from each other. Please keep Piggy in your thoughts and prayers.

Treasurer Required!!

Our wonderful treasurer and "bean counter", Lauren Browne, has been offered a promotion which will lead to her being away for weeks at a time. Congratulations Lauren!!

Unfortunately for us, this means that she must resign as our treasurer. We need to find a new treasurer within the next month! Or at least someone prepared to take on her responsibilities until a permanent treasurer is found. Could you be that person? Do you know someone who might be? If so, please contact Jacqui Duly either by email or by telephone on 07751 199037.

Email Problems!!!!!

With many apologies from the webmaster, but a problem with some of the email addresses on the site has just come to light in that none of your emails were getting through. This has hopefully now been fixed, but there is a large backlog of emails to catch up on. This has particularly affected info@pussycatlodge.co.uk and rehome@pussycatlodge.co.uk. Please bear with us as we gradually answer all of your emails.

If you send or have sent an email that hasn't been acknowledged after 7 days, please contact the webmaster.

Heydon Closure Stopped!

We have received the following email from supporters of Heydon:

It is with great pleasure I can inform you about the decision of the Wood Green Trustees to keep the Heydon shelter open. Staff were notified yesterday late afternoon. However, we are not out of the woods yet. If we don't want to face the same situation in the near future, we will have to raise money and the profile of the shelter. But for now, it's just great to hear that common sense prevailed.

Harry's Raffle

9 year old Harry held a raffle at his school in aid of PCLT and raised a whopping £117.00! Thank you Harry!!

Open Day - 15 May 2005

What a fabulous day Sunday 15th May 2005 turned out to be! The day was bright, sunny and warm bringing people in their droves to PussyCat Lodge! The whole team mucked in and fun was had by all, despite the hard work, as can be seen from the Photos.

More details will be provided soon, but in the meantime I can tell you that we raised a whopping.....

£1,708.68

Well done to all involved! It was my first event for PCLT and I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
