Carol Contact Carol	I’m married to Ian, who helps with delivering and collecting at St Laurence events. We have two grown up children, Emma, who also helps out at events, and Michael, who you’re never likely to see. We have 10 cats, all rescues, a rescued rabbit, who lives indoors, and two goldfish, inherited from my mother-in-law. Along with keeping the sponsorship records straight, I compile and distribute the Sponsorship Mewsletter, and I’m usually bugging people to send me articles for it. I do some fundraising in the form of catering at the Tithe Barn, Upminster, for various events there. Also we have a big catering event once a year, for a Family History Society AGM. This takes a lot of work and organisation, and Sally and I have to bake loads of cakes, as we get so busy. It’s a good thing our volunteers, Cathy, Frances, Steve, Emma, Andrea and Rob, to name a few, come along to help. We have a laugh, but it is hard work, so the more volunteers, the merrier. I organise our events in St Laurence Church Hall, Upminster to, and bake even more cakes, but we’ve been doing them for so long now that they usually go like clockwork. I also look after the garage, where we have to keep all the things we get donated, sorting, washing and pricing it ready for taking to events. Never a dull moment in cat rescue.
