Cassie

Not all of our foster cats live at PussyCat Lodge. Cassie came in at 11 years old as she belonged to an old lady who had a bad heart. The lady was able to do anything with Cassie and was scared that Cassie would be left alone if anything happened to her.

Cassie originally went to the Lodge and spent about a week in the rafters of one of the pens. She was quite spiteful and doesn't seem to like people very much! Lauren G decided to try her at home to see if that would be better.

Cassie spent her first week under the wardrobe. She then progressed to under the computer table in a corner for another 3 to 4 weeks, then decided to move under the bed. This is where she thought she'd see if plastic bags make good litter trays, testing Lauren's sense of smell in the process!

Cassie seems to have stopped behaving badly now and uses a covered litter tray. For the first two months she was with Lauren, Lauren saw only her face, eyes and mouth when she got bitten, sometimes quite nastily. Laurens says a milestone was reached when Cassie came to the bedroom door demanding her breakfast!
